Q: they both have the same price...but one is bigger, and bigger memory...but still in the same price with the 8GB?
Also, the 8GB has glass screen while 30GB has plastic: so which one is better scratch resistant glass or plastic?
A: The difference is that the 30gb zune is the first generation so it is a little thicker and has a little less quality. The 8 gb is the second generation zune which is thinner and newer.
As a video player it is effectively useless. I doubt it could replace Windows Media Player in that regard, but I would be very very interested if Microsoft were to have Windows 8 ship with one player specifically tailored to each media type. Zune does music well, I'm sure they could come up with a Metro-based player specifically for Video files, one that has proper subtitle support, codec selection and such.
