Many Xbox 360 owners are wondering what causes three flashing red lights on the Xbox 360 Elite. The simple answer to the question is for the same reason why the default Xbox 360 got them, and it was due to hardware failure with respect to cooling GPU or graphics chip.
It seems that many Xbox 360 gamers, who got the red ring of death decided to go out and buy Elite model in the hope that it would be red ring of death proof! It has unfortunately not been the case. It seems that the Xbox 360 Elite is also inclined to get red flashing light and this caused a great deal of sadness and ha anger in the gaming world.
So is the original problem has not disappeared with the elite. Overheating of the console may cause it to malfunction and flash those red light.
