Q: I want to buy a Samsung 22" monitor that has a refresh rate of 5ms. I was wondering what the difference between this and the 2ms is and whether it is good enough for normal computer usage and watching movies.
A: Refresh rate determines how much "ghosting" will appear on a screen. Typically, the higher the better but 5ms is enough for most uses. however, most monitors use gray to gray refresh instead of black to white to black which skews the ratings
