The Espanola Regional Recreation Complex has announced Crystal Mokohonuk position as the Community in Motion (CIM) Coordinator will be filled by Cameron Adams, while Mokohonuk is on her maternity leave. Adams who is originally from Espanola and now lives in Whitefish Falls studied Geography at Laurentian University. He later moved to Northern Saskatchewan where he worked in the field of sports recreation. He enjoys hockey, archery, canoeing and anything the great outdoors has to offer.
As the new CIM coordinator for the last week, Adams has been busy learning the routine and is hoping to continue to work on the many projects already implemented. He is also excited to be starting with the new March Break schedule and the start-up of TGIF Fridays.
Adams is also looking forward to being certified as an Urban Polling instructor, so he can continue to promote such a wonderful, growing outdoor opportunity for those in Espanola.
Also the complex had an opportunity to welcome Holly Lapper-Bates who is the co-op student from Espanola High School. After graduation she will be attending Canadore College where she will study Recreation and Leisure for two years. After which she is hoping to continue on in a 3rd year of study specializing in Rural Recreation. While on her placement she will assist with the CIM programs.
