Either way that's all the information that was offered, although Kojima has stated multiple times that Metal Gear Solid 5 is definitely on the way. The last time was a rather panicked-sounding promise that there'd be an 'authentic stealth MGS' after Metal Gear Rising, which is officially not part of the Metal Gear Solid series (and which Kojima has little hands-on involvement).
At that point the only detail Kojima would share is that, 'the period setting is several years after MGS4'. That's an important point as Metal Gear Solid 3 was a prequel and so too was Peace Walker on the PSP, which was at one point named Metal Gear Solid 5.
