Q: Is it supposed to have a lens / shutter cover? The first page in the manual says that when you turn it on, the shutter cover will open... but the lens on mine is permanently exposed, am I missing something or is the manual a generic one.

A: I do have an older olympus and my shutter was locked open. Had it replaced from argos. Sounds like yours is jammed open!
