Why does my Olympus Camedia digital camera c-4000 zoom take batteries so fast?

Q: I put in 4 Energizer AA batteries and take it on an over night and I use it a lot. My camera is only a few years old and hasn't been dropped whole lot. It took those batteries faster than it ever has before. My camera was expensive and I just want to

A: Regular alkaline batteries is not really good way to go with this camera. The NiMh batteries that are at least 2300Mah or better probably will give you bettter performance out of your camera.
