Gateway Computers All In One
Q: I was just curious how everyone feels about gateway computers? Im going to purchase a new one in the next few days and am between an HP and a Gateway. I'm sort of leaning towards the gateway due to the price/specs. What has been your experience with
A: My new laptop is a Gateway, and it works just fine. Intel pentium dual core, dvd-ready and it has a dvd-labeler on it too. I've also handled an HP before, as my father's laptop is an HP and that works great too. HP laptops have great connectivity (his
It is more than you need, frankly. DO you need to be writing with a stylus instead of typing? Honestly? If you end up using it mostly LIKE a laptop with the keyboard, then you have wasted a bunch of money on a nifty tablet feature you never use.
Do you know what kind of laptop is best for a college student? A cheap one. Do you know why? Let me explain.
Picture this. It is late, you are studying and you reach to grab your book, and your Monster Energy drink gets dumped onto your keyboard, because your desk is too small for all your books, the computer, and everything else on it, and as I said, it is WAY too late. You Might turn it off, remove the battery in time, and get it turned upside down quick enough.. or you might not. You want to replace an Expensive Laptop, or a cheap one, at this point?
...Like his neatly-balanced state budget plan, Snyder's much-anticipated education reform package this week fits the fixer mold: It eschews reinvention and works within the public schools system to make its teachers more accountable, operations more efficient, and new products - charters and cross-district choice - more available.
This is a competent plan, not a revolution. Snyder seeks to make the system more accountable to his metrics. Sadly, he does not trust parents to make the system more accountable to THEIRS. That would be a Jobs-worthy re-imagine that would boldly establish Michigan at the forefront of 21st century ed reform - a reform that would trust parents with their school money (vouchers or tax credits) and finally bring the one element that is holding our education system back: consumer market accountability.
America's most successful markets have it: food, auto insurance, housing. Our least successful markets don't: education and health care.
Snyder's plan demands "accountability and transparency on how taxpayer money is spent on education," said GOP House Speaker Jase Bolger in praise of his party'sS leader.
