IBuyPower is looking to come out of the obscure underground custom gaming PC market and into the mainstream. On Tuesday, the company announced its partnership with Wal-Mart, who has launched its first "custom configurator" on its site .
The Build Your Own Gaming PC portion of Wal-Mart's computer page isn't quite as extensive as what iBuyPower has set up, but the choices and categories make it a more manageable experience for users who are still new to the build-your-own-PC scene. Customers will be able to chose from 5 cases, several AMD and Intel (2nd generation) CPUs and GPUs, 3 different RAM options, 3 hard drive sizes, 3 optical drive options, and 3 versions of Windows 7 OS.
