Q: I need a calculator for college algebra and am considering the TI-83 line. Could some one explain what the difference is between the TI-83 and the TI-83 PLUS?
A: the plus comes with extra programs.
So I was looking for my link cable for my TI-83 plus graphing calculator and couldn't find it so I thought about looking into purchasing a new one. It's just a standard 2.5mm male to male audio cable. I already have a few regular 3.5mm stereo m-m cables (standard what most head phones use) so I figured I would just buy a couple of adapters, 3.5mm female to 2.5mm male stereo. I ordered it and it came in and I noticed something different about the tips. Normally I thought mono audio cables have two sections, the tip and the sleeve, and then stereo cables have three sections, the tip and two sleeve sections. Well I ordered a stereo connector but got a tip that has four sections, the tip and three sleeve sections. I've googled audio cables and haven't been able to find anything about what it is. Any help would be appreciated!
