Honors Event: Film & Talk on “Tupperware!” « HonorBlog
Join us this Thursday, May 5 at 6 along with filmmaker Laurie Kahn for a screening and discussion of her PBS American Experience film, “Tupperware!”
It tells the fascinating story of Tupperware entrepreneur Brownie Wise, who created an iconic American business at a time when many women were characterized and valorized only as homemakers. This event is a benefit for the Worcester YWCA, and is part of Women’s Words Week for YWCA of Central Massachusetts; co-sponsored by the WSU Honors Program and the Women’s Studies Program.
The event is from 6-8 pm in the Ghosh Auditorium, ST-102. Local home-sales entrepreneurs will be displaying their wares starting at 5:30. Refreshments will follow the film and discussion, moderated by Dr. Tona Hangen. See you there!
