Q: Looking to purchase a nav system for my car.....have heard good things about Garmin....anyone have any helpful hints or thoughts on which one is the best value for the $$$? Don't need the fanciest, but don't want bare bones either. Thanks ya'll!
A: I personally have a magellan, but I have installed the kenwood, pioneer, and eclipse aftermarket indash units as well.
The 2 things I think every navigation system should have is 6-12 million points of interest, and telephone numbers for those

I bought this item after much comparison with the others available. This item was refurbished by Garmin, but still had a 1 year factory warranty, so why pay full retail? I just found this same GPS at a local major retail store for $449.99, so my $243 purchase price was a bargain, especially with free shipping!
