Can verizon wireless phones tell when a cell phones off?

Q: my friend has a Verizon wireless cell phone and she said that when she texts someone it lets her know that the persons phone is off or on. is that true?

A: actually it does in a way. if you go to your sent box and there is an arrow next to the message it means that the persons phone is off or they dont have a verizon phone. if there is a check mark by the message it means that the person has verizon and

The Thundrbolt is not defaulting to 3G unless you go into the modem setup and change it yourself. For me the 3G coverage today is also spotty at best. Verizon’s lack of communication is apalling. I just switched from Sprint and today I have the most expensive paperweight among all of my friends. I am still within my first 30 days with Verizon, so maybe I will go running back to Sprint if Verizon can’t ge there act together

Dial ##778# and then hit send

At the next window (EPST) you will see 2 choices:

View Mode and Edit Mode. Choose – Edit Mode.

Enter the Password – 000000

Go down to Modem Settings and choose “Rev A“
